In 2001 Tina Larsen of Basically Different published the much-loved Alphabet Art boxed book and cards set. Featuring the artwork of Kapiti Coast artist Austin Whincup with poems by storyteller and writer Moira Wairama, Alphabet Art is a delightful collection of images and poems for each letter of the English Alphabet. In 2019 Basically Different allowed some of Austin’s original artwork to be used in the te Reo Māori book Arapū Toi which is based on the Māori alphabet.

Alphabet Art books and card sets can be found in early childhood centres, schools and homes throughout New Zealand and are also available from basicallydifferent.squarespace.com

Kei te Māra / In the Garden is a bilingual picture book and card set based on primary numbers 1-10 and features artwork by Tauranga high school student Grace Finnigan and poems in English and te Reo Māori by Wellington writer and storyteller Moira Wairama.

This number resource for young children was published by Wider Horizons, a group of Year 12 students from Otumoetai College, as their entry for the Young Enterprise Scheme 2017 where it was shortlisted as a finalist.

The book and cards are presented in a small box and labelled Tau Mōhio Number Knowledge years 2 +.
